Our Mission
The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd stands as a sanctuary of faith and hope in the Upper Kanawha Valley. For generations, we have served as a community beacon, anchoring our mission in the welcoming of all souls and the pursuit of compassionate service. Our history is a testament to the power of faith in action, as we continue to provide a sacred space for worship, reflection, and neighborly love.
Weekly Service Times
Sunday Mornings at 10:30 AM
Holy Eucharist (Rite II) is our weekly worship service, rooted in ancient tradition, but welcoming and approachable for real life today.

On Sundays, you can expect Scripture, prayer, music, a message rooted in hope, and Holy Communion shared together. Some parts are spoken together, some are sung, and some are simply moments to breathe and reflect.

Never been to an Episcopal church before? You’re not alone. You don’t need to have it all figured out, know when to stand, or say every response perfectly. Just come as you are.

Whether you’re deeply rooted in faith, cautiously curious, or somewhere in between, there’s room for you here every Sunday at 10:30 AM.
The Carol Recco Family Room: A Dedicated Space for Parents
Worshiping with little ones is a joy, but we understand that sometimes you need a moment for practical care. Our Family Room offers parents a private, peaceful retreat to attend to their children's needs while staying fully connected to the service.
Dedicated to the memory of Carol Recco, this room is specifically equipped with baby-care comforts like rocking chairs, a changing table, and essential supplies. A live video feed ensures you can continue to participate in our worship with your child in a relaxed, stress-free environment.
Quiet Reset Space
A peaceful room where parents can step away to soothe their children while finding a moment of calm during the worship service.
Stay Connected
Never miss a word or a prayer. Our live video feed keeps you fully engaged with the liturgy unfolding in the sanctuary.
Baby-Care Comforts
Thoughtfully equipped with a comfortable rocking chair, a changing table, and baby supplies for a stress-free care experience.
